Licensed Therapist  - Ricardo received his BA in Social Service in 1980 and his MA in Marriage, Family, and Child counseling from Azusa Pacific University (California) in 1983. After moving to the east coast with his wife, Ricardo became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina, where he practiced for 10 years. He was also licensed as an LMFT by the Commonwealth of Virgina in 2005. Ricardo is bilingual and bicultural (Spanish and English). 

For the past 27 years Ricardo has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, who have been struggling with various emotional, behavioral, and family issues. Ricardo has extensive experience working with child and family issues in an in-home setting, as well as in schools, and traditional clinical settings and also has experience as an adoption social worker. His particular expertise lies in counseling for parenting, and communication issues, as well as handling depression, anxiety, marital problems, cross cultural issues and adoption related issues. 

Ricardo lives with his wife and 16-year-old adopted son in Chesterfield county where they are actively involved with their Christian church.  Ricardo works at Chesterfield County CSB during the day, and at Resource Guidance Services/Christian Counseling 1 -2 days per week.
