
Licensed Therapist - Originally from Staunton, VA Mike graduated from Grove City College (PA) with a BA in Philosophy and a minor in Psychology. He continued his studies at Regent University (VA) where he received his Master’s degree in Counseling. While working toward his Master’s degree Mike completed an internship at Christopher Newport University in the Office of Counseling Services. After finishing his graduate work at Regent, Mike completed his counseling residency in Charlottesville, VA treating at-risk youth and their families.
For the past 5 years Mike has worked in the field of mental health in a college counseling center, at various in-home settings, and in a psychiatric hospital treating diverse issues including depression, ADHD, addiction, trauma, abuse, and anxiety. He works with children, adolescents, adults and families. Mike uses an eclectic approach to treatment, tailoring interventions to the unique needs of the individual or family.
In his free time Mike is an avid sports fan and enjoys hiking, exercising, and spending time with his friends and family.
